Why it fits a team
- Open work has an owner everyone can see. A follow-up is not lost between people because it belongs to the record, with a named owner.
- A handoff does not drop anything. When one clinician picks up where another left off, the note and what is still open come with the patient.
- Nothing is assumed to have landed. A referral or callback stays open until someone accepts it, so “I thought you had it” stops happening.
- One record, many hands. Every clinician works from the same record, so the team is not reconciling separate copies.
